VeriFast is building a new category in the property technology space by replacing fragmented screening tools with a centralized verification and approval engine for property managers and housing operators.
The Business Development Representative (BDR) will be responsible for generating new pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting, engaging decision makers in property management organizations, and identifying qualified opportunities for the sales team.
This role is focused on high-quality pipeline creation, targeting operators managing multifamily, student housing, and institutional rental portfolios.
The BDR will work closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to execute targeted outreach campaigns, leverage data tools, and build relationships with industry operators.
Identify and prospect property management companies, multifamily operators, and housing providers that match VeriFast’s Ideal Customer Profile.
Generate qualified meetings for Account Executives through outbound email, LinkedIn outreach, and calling.
Execute multi-touch outbound sequences targeting property operations leaders, leasing directors, and asset management teams.
Maintain consistent pipeline activity aligned with company outreach targets.
Research target accounts to understand portfolio size, technology stack, and operational challenges related to leasing, fraud prevention, and applicant verification.
Prioritize accounts within key geographic markets and housing segments.
Develop tailored messaging based on operational pain points such as fraud risk, manual screening workload, and approval inconsistencies.
Maintain accurate activity tracking and pipeline management in the CRM system.
Document outreach activity, conversations, and qualification insights.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure clean data, clear segmentation, and accurate reporting.
Gather insights from conversations with property operators regarding screening workflows, fraud challenges, and approval criteria.
Provide feedback to the revenue team on messaging effectiveness, objection patterns, and market trends.
1–3 years of experience in outbound sales, business development, or lead generation.
Experience prospecting into property management, PropTech, FinTech, or SaaS markets is a plus.
Experience using modern sales engagement tools and CRM systems.
