About the role

Verndale is seeking a curious, detail oriented, and collaborative Junior UX Designer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone early in their UX career who is eager to learn, contribute meaningfully to digital experiences, and grow within a fast-paced agency environment.

As a Junior UX Designer, you will support the strategy, design, and optimization of user-centered digital experiences across web and marketing platforms. You will collaborate closely with Account Leads, Project Managers, UI Designers, Developers, and senior UX team members to translate business goals and user needs into thoughtful, intuitive solutions. Responsibilities

  • Create wireframes, low and mid fidelity prototypes, and user flows under guidance from senior UX team members.
  • Translate business requirements and user needs into clear interaction patterns.
  • Collaborate with UI Designers to ensure seamless handoff from wireframes to visual design.
  • Partner with CMS Producers and Developers to ensure UX intent is maintained through implementation.
  • Contribute to IA development including sitemap creation and content hierarchy.
  • Participate in internal brainstorming sessions, design critiques, and project reviews.
  • Conduct QA reviews to ensure the final product aligns with UX strategy and usability best practices.
  • Stay informed on emerging UX trends, digital marketing strategies, accessibility standards, and industry best practice.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of UX, digital design, or related experience, internships included
  • Proficiency in Figma
  • Understanding of UX fundamentals including usability, accessibility, and responsive design
  • Familiarity with wireframing and prototyping best practices
  • Basic understanding of information architecture principles
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate UX decisions and rationale
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS is a plus
  • Exposure to digital marketing ecosystems is a plus
  • Experience working with content matrix and copywriting is a plus
  • Agency experience preferred but not required

Compensation & Benefits

In accordance with applicable law, the salary range provided is Verndale's reasonable estimate of the base salary for this role. The actual amount may vary, based on non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. In addition to salary, Verndale also offers a competitive benefits package.

65,000 - 75,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))
