About the role

The Front-End Engineer is responsible for creating clean, efficient, standards compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript across a wide range of web sites and web applications.

Responsibilities

• Be capable of taking on any size and complexity of Front-End projects.
• Be able to deliver the Front-End portion of projects on time and on budget.
• Evaluate frameworks, technologies and tools and determine their relevance to a particular project or the wider department.
• Work closely with team members from various departments.
• Be able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities in a fast paced environment.
• Write the majority of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on a project based on prototypes, designs, and functional documentation.
• Work closely with the Front End Architect to understand project needs and learn new development technologies.
• Collaborate with back-end engineers to ensure seamless integration of components.
• Identify and raise potential project risks to the team and help to alleviate those risks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in similar roles
• 3+ years working with React.
• Agency experience
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a track record of successful project delivery, including experience leveraging AI-powered tools like Cursor and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development and maintain high code quality.
• Experienced in evaluating and implementing front-end technologies, with a focus on React.
• Strong understanding of web development standards and best practices.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and modern web development tools.
• Previous experience in developing large-scale websites and web applications
