Job Title:   Manager OR Senior Manager, Learning and Development 

Location:   Remote - Worldwide (with significant overlap with US business hours)

Our organization is growing rapidly, join us in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. In response we are building a high-performance HR Team and need a professional who can create an effective global learning ecosystem that provides employees with rich development experiences and enables them to grow and succeed. We are seeking a passionate Learning & Development professional to play a crucial role in helping our team members enhance their skills and knowledge. 

The Role. 


  • Develop, manage and drive a global Learning and Development strategy to strengthen our organizational capabilities and talent performance. 

  • Transform pre-existing L & D initiatives into a cohesive curriculum. 

  • Deliver world-class L & D service which provides thought-leadership and cutting-edge learning tools and solutions. 

  • Partner with and influence Verra leaders to integrate L & D into our organizational practices to develop, retain and motivate a skilled, vibrant and agile workforce.  

  • Analyze our job families to identify processes and create custom training plans. 

  • Develop and implement learning strategies and programs by designing e-learning courses, workshops and more for a fully remote workforce. 

  • Manage and develop one L & D coordinator. 

  • Oversee the development of a recently implemented LMS platform (Litmos) into a fully integrated and robust e-learning destination. 

  • Facilitate our performance appraisal application, PerformYard. 

  • Support the identification of leadership potential within the organization and collaborate with Verra leaders on succession planning as needed. 

  • Learning related projects as needed. 

 

What we’d like to see. 

 

  • 10+ years of experience managing learning and development programs globally. 

  • Passion for helping people learn and grow with previous experience as a people manager. 

  • Deep understanding of learning and development and performance capacity building practices, challenges and trends. 

  • Strong instructional design, coaching, facilitation and training skills with evidence of effective application across international contexts and culture. 

  • Extensive experience with LMS platforms and e-learning ecosystems. 

  • Expertise in the following: learning strategy, needs analysis, program design, curriculum design, instructional design, learning evaluation, e-learning, facilitation, competency design, and competency assessment. 

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience mentoring team members and encouraging their development. 

  • Strong communication skills which are essential in effectively guiding employees through their learning journey. 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with all levels of an organization and communicate effectively regarding sensitive and confidential matters. 

  • Cultural awareness enables you to work well with stakeholders and partners from different countries and cultures. 

  • A self-starter approach to your work with the ability to proactively meet and deliver project milestones in a remote setting.  

  • A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on Verra’s success.

We’ve created a culture of flexibility + autonomy. You’ll be able to work with remote teams from diverse countries and industries. Wherever possible, we aim to find mutually agreeable solutions for international hiring. 

For this position, the salary range is between $106,000 -$135,000 USD. The compensation band is based on a U.S. base salary range and shares the min and max base salary for the position. This position is eligible for remote work.  

The final compensation offered will be contingent upon role, level, and location. Our Talent team can share the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. 

Salary is one component of Verra’s total compensation package which also includes:
