Summary: 

 

Veruna is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our rapidly growing company. In this critical role, you will partner with the sales team to build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities that will enable Veruna to achieve its booking goals. Your focus will be on lead identification and qualification through outbound prospecting of new leads (via cold call, email, LinkedIn and other campaigns), and qualifying all inbound leads (i.e. website inquiries, marketing leads, trade show attendees, referrals).  Your objective is to provide a robust flow of sales qualified leads to your enterprise sales partners. Additionally, if interested, there is opportunity for growth internally to account executive roles. 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Partner closely with Veruna’s sales team to identify and source net new pipeline that leads to closed revenue and quota attainment 

  • Qualify leads against Veruna’s Ideal Customer Profile, focusing time on those that match while transitioning away from those that don’t  

  • Discover customers’/prospects’ business initiatives and act as the trusted advisor 

  • Build a point of view on how to help qualify customers’ needs 

  • Speak to value and return on investment vs. technical functionality 

  • Build credibility and trust with internal and external stakeholders 

  • Generate interest through outbound cold calling/email campaigns/Natural Market/LinkedIn and Social selling 

  • Learn how to anticipate and prepare for objections 

  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility as part of an ever-growing sales organization 

  • Manage a high volume of prospects with a strategy on prioritization of your accounts and time 

  • Make a significant impact in order to grow within the company  

  • Perform other tasks/projects as needed 

  • Some travel may be required for industry events and client meetings 

 

 

What You Need: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (technical discipline a plus) 

  • 1-3 years’ experience with enterprise software, sales, and cloud solutions 

  • Experience cold calling and emailing companies 

  • Prior consistent ability to drive pipeline activities  

  • Proven ability to deliver on commitments and timelines 

  • Self-motivated, solutions driven, detail-oriented, and organized 

  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills 

  • Highly adaptable to changing business needs and product landscapes, maintaining a positive outlook and inspiring/motivating others 

  • Ability to translate new software features into real world examples 

 

What Will Make You Stand Out: 

 

  • Prior experience in a B2B SaaS organization  

  • Prior experience with Salesforce  

  • Prior experience working in the P&C Insurance industry 

  • Demonstrate high energy and a strong bias toward action  

 

The base pay range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000. Within this range, base pay will be determined based on relevant experience, education, training/certifications, skillset, and work location.  

  

The listed pay range does not include eligible commissions that can be earned through the Sales Compensation Plan. Compensation will be discussed in further detail during the interview process
