We are seeking a Scientist, Macrocycle Design to apply state-of-the-art de novo design methodologies to computationally discover, develop, and evaluate therapeutic macrocycles. As a member of the design team in Seattle WA, you will leverage your knowledge of cutting edge methods in molecular design to augment Vilya’s existing design platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in the discovery and development of macrocyclic molecules with potency, selectivity, and in vivo stability using structure-guided approaches.
  • Apply de novo design methods and integrated computational pipelines that generate macrocycle designs in support of discovery and hit optimization programs.
  • Analyze data from experimental and computational assays to improve methodology throughout Vilya’s therapeutic discovery platform.
  • Innovate Vilya’s computational design platform by building state-of-art de novo design workflows


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ph.D. in a scientific or engineering discipline at the intersection of computational molecular design, medicinal chemistry, and drug discovery
  • Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art protein design tools applied to de novo design of therapeutic molecules in conjunction with a deep understanding of molecular structure analysis methods
  • Extensive hands-on experience with parallel job execution and high performance computing systems
  • Expertise in working with high-level programing languages such as Python
  • Expertise in integrating computational models into scalable and reproducible workflows
  • Adept at working in a multi-disciplinary team

Salary Range : $120,000-$160,000/year
