Impact of the Role
In a nutshell? Make everyone’s life easier and better by helping pharmaceutical companies produce and ship medicines faster to our world!
As a Senior Systems & DevOps Engineer, you won’t just keep the lights on—you’ll be the architect of smoother workflows, faster deployments, and smarter automation. You’ll own the digital plumbing that lets our people focus on what matters: getting treatments to patients quicker.
Whether it’s taming complex on-prem/cloud ecosystems, automating away repetitive tasks, or building secure, scalable systems, you’ll be the trusted force behind our operational excellence. You’ll collaborate across teams, champion reliability, and deliver tools that just work.
This role is for curious builders, automation addicts, and systems thinkers who thrive in fast-paced environments and love solving problems before anyone else even notices them.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems to ensure infrastructure health and reliability.
- Automate incident response workflows and design resilient systems to minimize downtime
- Build automation pipelines to manage and enforce policies across Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, etc.
- Develop workflows to automate onboarding/offboarding and enforce internal policies at scale.
- Implement scalable automation for device provisioning and internal setup workflows.
- Maintain and troubleshoot containerized deployments, ensuring stability and rapid recovery.
- Handle daily operational duties across CI/CD, infrastructure, and platform management.
- Collaborate with external IT teams to securely automate remote access and connectivity.
- Ensure availability and performance of Linux and Windows servers.
- Assess and improve internal networking infrastructure as needed.
- Produce documentation for system designs and architectural decisions.
What you bring to the table:
- Extensive Experience in Infrastructure & DevOps: 7+ years of hands-on experience architecting, automating, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-availability systems in cloud and hybrid environments.
- A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or equivalent real-world experience that shows you know your stuff.
- Deep experience with containerization technologies like Docker. You’ve built and operated production workloads on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Skilled in tools such as Terraform and Ansible. You treat infrastructure like software and build repeatable, version-controlled, and testable environments.
- You’re fluent in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins. You have a strong grasp of deployment strategies and know how to integrate testing, security, and compliance into pipelines.
- Advanced experience in both Linux and Windows server environments, including configuration, hardening, troubleshooting, and automation. You’re equally at home in a terminal shell or scripting automated solutions for Windows services.
- You have strong scripting skills in both Bash and PowerShell, and you’re comfortable using them to automate tasks, troubleshoot systems, and streamline workflows.
- Strong grasp of networking concepts (VPCs, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, load balancing). You understand how to design secure, resilient networks and troubleshoot connectivity issues across environments.
- Strong working knowledge of virtualization platforms like VMware (or similar)—you understand how to scale smart.
- Deep familiarity with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem: SharePoint, Exchange, Teams—you know how to bend it to your will.
- Solid understanding of Active Directory and identity management—you get the balance between access and security.
- You can write a mean SQL query and navigate relational databases without breaking a sweat.
- You are passionate about automating repetitive tasks and building scalable solutions. You bring a proactive mindset, clear communication skills, and thrive in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
- You approach every technical challenge with curiosity, discipline, and a bias for automation over repetition.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog), secrets management (Vault, SSM), and compliance/security automation (CIS benchmarks, DevSecOps tooling).
Bonus points if you’ve ever built internal tooling, automated onboarding/offboarding, or turned “that one broken thing everyone hates” into something seamless.

- You have a solid grasp of modern authorization frameworks and platforms such as Keycloak, and you’re familiar with how authentication and access controls shape secure infrastructure.
