The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Mortgage Business Analyst to oversee the business aspects of the platforms and tools that support Visio’s operations. You will gather requirements and work with other analysts or developers to implement changes and enhancements to improve processes and internal/external customer experiences.
As a Business Analyst with Visio, you will contribute to the Strategic Initiatives Department by:
- Gathering business requirements from stakeholders and turning them into functional requirements to be implemented or to be turned over to development for custom work
- Working with stakeholders to prioritize business requests
- Implementing changes, workflows, and processes in various off-the-shelf or custom-built solutions, including but not limited to a loan origination system, point of sale system, data warehouse, CRM platform, and various AI tools
- Working with development leadership to match development priorities with business requirements and timing
- Guiding the work of other business analysts as they assist in implementing changes in the supported platforms
- Collaborating with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
- Managing other responsibilities and duties as assigned based on business needs
- Work Schedule: Monday–Friday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm CST
- Available Remote Locations: AL, AK, AZ, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, NC, OH, SC, TX, UT, WI
- Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 (This position may be elevated to a senior level with corresponding salary dependent on experience)
What we are looking for:
- Someone with a High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent
- Someone with 3+ years of Mortgage origination experience, preferably in process definition or design
- Someone skilled in business and technical analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
- Someone with problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Someone with the ability to:
- Find creative solutions within business parameters
- Communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization and with external customers
- Create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language
- Work with development teams to implement advanced solutions
- Someone with exceptional analytical and statistical skills with the ability to apply them to business problems, systems issues, and products as required
- Someone proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Someone with the ability to use standard office equipment: printer, scanner, copier, fax, telephone, and other applicable equipment as needed
- Internal Applicants: 6 months of Visio Lending work experience, which includes no disciplinary actions within the last 3 months. Current Manager notification is needed in order to apply for a vacant position. Any applicant that does not meet these conditions will require approval from the executive team member over the hiring department prior to extending a job offer
What we prefer to find:
- Someone with a college degree or advanced certification in a related discipline
- Someone with 5+ years of Mortgage origination experience, preferably in process definition or design
- Someone with loan origination system management experience (implementing processes, changes, workflows, etc. within an LOS platform)
- Someone with experience working with a data warehouse or CRM platform
- Someone with vendor evaluation or selection experience
- Someone with SaaS implementation experience
- Someone with experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products
