The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to manage the activities of the corporate accounting.
As a Senior Corporate Accountant with Visio, you will contribute to the Accounting Department by:
- Managing the day-to-day operations and responsibilities of corporate accounting, including consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Preparing financial statements for BPCM-Visio Investors, LLC, VBPMT Splitter, VBPMT EII, and VBPMT II LLC
- Preparing audit work papers for the annual financial statement audit and assisting the Corporate Controller in managing the annual audit
- Preparing tax return workpapers and assisting the Corporate Controller in managing the annual tax return, and TRS equity roll-forwards
- Preparing Intercompany allocations, and elimination accounting
- Conducting monthly uploads and comparisons between separate sets of books
- Conducting inventory reserve calculations and reconciliation for real estate-owned
- Driving the process enhancements and data integrity checks to ensure timely and accurate reports and provide recommendations on productivity, quality, and areas of concern
- Developing and monitoring effective financial and accounting controls
- Performing special projects as assigned
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
- Managing other responsibilities and duties as assigned based on business needs
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm CST
- Available Remote Locations: AL, AK, AZ, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, NC, OH, SC, TX, UT, WI
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000 (Exempt level position)
What We Are Looking For:
- Someone with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Someone with 5 years of finance, accounting, general ledger, financial reporting, or other relevant experience
- Someone with Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience
- Someone with the ability to use standard office equipment, printer, scanner, copier, fax, telephone, personal computer, and other peripheral devices
- Someone who is a self-starter, highly motivated, goal-oriented, passionate, high-achieving, and hardworking
- Internal Applicants: 6 months of Visio Lending work experience which includes no disciplinary actions within the last 3 months. Current Manager notification is needed before applying for a vacant position. Any applicant that does not meet these conditions will require approval from the executive team member over the hiring department before extending a job offer
What We prefer to find:
- Someone with 10 years of finance, accounting, general ledger, financial reporting, or other relevant experience as a CPA, or with an MBA in Accounting or Finance
- Someone with experience in QuickBooks or NetSuite
- Someone with prior experience in mortgage or related industry
- Someone with experience in real estate investment trust
- Someone with experience in analyzing financial information
- Someone with the ability to manage ambiguity
- Someone who is intellectually curious
