The Opportunity

The HR Generalist, People Operations is responsible for supporting the day-to-day support of people operations and human resources of the organization. This role serves as an essential point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant execution of core People Operations processes across the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, service-oriented self-starter, and experienced in administering People Operations programs while providing consistent and professional employee support.


What You'll Do

  • Core HR Operations
    • Serve as a key resource for employee questions related to policies, benefits, timekeeping, payroll, and HR processes
    • Administer day-to-day HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and record maintenance
    • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
    • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries
  • Employee Relations & Compliance
    • Support employee relations matters by providing guidance on policies, escalating issues as appropriate, and documenting interactions
    • Assist with investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance documentation in partnership with the Vice President of People Operations and executive leadership
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies
    • Maintain and update employment policies, procedures, and handbook materials as needed
  • Recruiting & Onboarding Support
    • Coordinate onboarding logistics including offer letters, background checks, new hire paperwork, and orientation scheduling
    • Support recruiting efforts by communicating with candidates and assisting hiring managers as needed
  • Performance & Engagement
    • Assist with performance review cycles, employee engagement initiatives, and training coordination
    • Support employee development programs and learning initiatives
  • Reporting & Process Improvement
    • Prepare and maintain HR reports related to headcount, turnover, compliance, and operational metrics
    • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, documentation, and employee experience
  • Other Duties
    • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics standards
    • Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned based on business needs
  • Authorized Remote Locations: Strong Preference for candidate local to Austin, Texas area
    • AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, NC, SC, TX, UT
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm CST
  • Salary Range: $77,000-$95,000/year (Exempt/Salaried)


What We Are Looking For:

  • 5+ years relevant People Operations or Human Resources experience with hands-on responsibility for daily HR administration, including involvement in employee relations
  • Working knowledge of multi-state HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to maintain discretion with confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attentional to detail
  •  Internal Applicants: Must meet minimum qualifications and have no recent disciplinary actions


What We Prefer to Find:

  • PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources Management or related field
  • Prior experience in a related field or industry (e.g. mortgage lending, banking, finance, real estate, etc.)
