The Opportunity

The Project Manager will lead and coordinate mortgage-focused initiatives that support business growth, operational excellence, platform readiness, and successful execution across the organization. This role is responsible for bringing structure, accountability, and momentum to cross-functional projects while applying Agile practices where appropriate.


The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented project leader who can balance flexibility with disciplined delivery, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.


What You'll Do

  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and success measures in partnership with stakeholders
  • Lead cross-functional projects from planning through delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals, technical feasibility, and organizational priorities
  • Provide clear, consistent, and timely project communication, including status updates, risks, issues, decisions, and executive-level reporting
  • Develop and maintain project plans, documentation, budgets, resource needs, and governance materials throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate evaluation of process, technology, hardware, and software options, including cost-benefit considerations and implementation impacts
  • Identify, document, monitor, and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and process control needs; escalate appropriately when impacts may affect delivery
  • Track project performance against short-term and long-term goals, using data and metrics to identify trends, drive accountability, and support informed decision-making
  • Lead mortgage-related projects using Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or hybrid delivery approaches as appropriate for the initiative
  • Facilitate or assist in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, demos, backlog reviews, and prioritization discussions
  • Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, manage backlogs, remove impediments, coordinate UAT, and support successful adoption
  • Work independently and collaboratively across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Recommend improvements to project execution, team collaboration, process maturity, and operational effectiveness
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned based on business needs
  • Authorized Remote Locations: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, NC, SC, TX, UT
  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $111,000/yr (Exempt/Salaried)


What We Are Looking For:

  • 3 + years leading technical, non-technical, and enterprise projects in the mortgage industry
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, delivery practices, ceremonies, and team collaboration models
  • Hands-on experience coordinating cross-functional workstreams, tracking deliverables, managing timelines, and communicating progress to stakeholders
  • Proficiency with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Strong understanding of business operations, strategic planning, resource coordination, and process improvement principles
  • High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent
  • Ability to work effectively in both office and remote work environments while using standard office equipment, technology, and collaboration tools


What We Prefer to Find:

  • PMP, CSM, CSPO, SAFe, or similar project management or Agile certification
  • Experience with Agile delivery tools, backlog management tools, workflow management platforms, or project portfolio management systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring project documentation, deliverables, and performance metrics meet quality standards
  • Ability to use data-driven insights to support informed decisions and recommend practical solutions
  • Strong understanding of dependencies, resource impacts, and long-term business outcomes
  • Ability to align project objectives with organizational strategy and measurable business outcomes
  • Ability to navigate cross-functional environments and communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
