Finance Manager

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial health and stability of the organization. The

Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support strategic

decision-making. The Financial Manager responsibilities will include managing budgets, forecasting financial

performance, and implementing financial policies and procedures. The Finance Manager will ensure compliance with

regulatory requirements and best practices.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


● Financial Management and Strategy:

○ Implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective financial

management and compliance with regulations.

○ Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets,

cash flow statements, and forecasts.

○ Monitor financial performance against budgetary targets and key performance indicators

(KPIs), identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

○ Manage the budgeting process, including coordinating budget preparation, monitoring

expenditures, and providing financial guidance to Program Director and Assistant

Program Director.


● Compliance:

○ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax laws, and accounting standards.

○ Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions,

and regulatory agencies.

○ Stay abreast of industry trends, economic developments, and best practices in financial

management and reporting.

○ Verify, code, approve, and balance monthly company cost center spending through

Rippling management software.


● Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.


SKILLS & ABILITIES:


● Strong understanding of financial principles, including financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting,

and reporting.

● Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, as well as accounting software (e.g., SAP,

Oracle, QuickBooks).

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data

and provide actionable insights.

● High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills.

● Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.

● Attention to detail.

● Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

● Commitment to professional development and proactive research.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

● Proficiency in Google Docs preferred.

● Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, copiers, and fax machines.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


● Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or any business-related fields with some experience working with

financial data, completing finance audits, and financial reporting preferred or;

● A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED and two years of relevant experience working with financial

data, completing finance audits, and financial reporting.


QUALIFICATIONS:


● Must be 21 years of age or older.

● Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

● Flexible schedule (evening, weekends, holidays) to facilitate program services.

● Cleared tuberculosis test results.

● Must be able to pass a drug test.

● Must be able to provide proof of required vaccinations.

● Cleared background checks from appropriate entities, including Child Abuse and Neglect and FBI

criminal background.

● Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.

● Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive to facilitate program services as required.


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


● May lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds

infrequently.

● Performs tasks that may involve standing or walking 50% of the day; sitting 50% of the day.

● May bend, stoop, reach and grasp as necessary.

● Must be able to provide First Aid Certification (CPR)

● Must be able to perform physical holds as instructed in Crisis Prevention Intervention training

(CPI).

The pay range for this role is:

58,939 - 58,939 USD per year (886 Jake Devonshire Center)
