Development Operations Manager

VTDigger seeks professional candidates for a new role on our Revenue and Operations team.  The Development Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining and advancing the organization’s fundraising infrastructure, donor communications, and member relations, ensuring that member services are successful, supporting communication efforts and business activities add maximum value to the organization. 


This role combines operational precision, CRM fluency, and a proactive approach to supporting both the fundraising and member service functions.  This position requires an organized person who is competent and comfortable dealing with people. We expect strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability  to carry out data and administrative duties with accuracy and speed.


The ideal candidate has experience and demonstrated ability in development operations and CRM management, along with membership and donor services and communication. Experience with advertising operations and content support is preferred.  The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years experience in nonprofit development, donor management, or membership operations and be familiar with nonprofit finance, fundraising best practices, and donor stewardship. Experience with donor CRMs, such as Salesforce, EveryAction, or equivalents; Mailchimp, Wordpress, Eventbrite, Slack, Airtable and Google Workspace, is desired.


Working Conditions

Work is performed both in our Montpelier office and remotely, such as from a home office location. The ideal candidate will reside within a 30-45 mile radius of the Montpelier office with the ability to commute to the office 2 days per week.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer. VTDigger does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Physical Demands

Work involves accomplishing most duties from a seated or standing position. There is potential for eye strain from reading detailed materials on a computer screen. There is some lifting, moving and carrying duties within the office. 


Hours

Work is typically from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, but exact hours may vary based on business needs. This position may occasionally attend fundraising events in the evening and over the weekend, in consultation with the CRO.

The pay range for this role is:

55,000 - 60,000 USD per year (Vermont)
