Job Purpose

VulcanForms seeks a Commercial Systems & Analytics Lead to turn an operational Salesforce environment into a business system used by multiple functional teams in support of our commercial objectives. This individual is the hands-on owner of the platform, of the dashboarding and insight layer built on top of it, and of the data flow between our commercial systems and our ERP.

Configuration, model building, and analysis are performed personally, with external partners engaged for supplemental capacity as needed. The role reports to the Senior Director of Commercial Operations and partners closely with sales, sales operations, finance, engineering, and operations planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Salesforce system administrator and primary configuration owner, including data model, automation, validation, permissions, and the security and sharing model
  • Build and maintain the reporting and dashboard suite used by the sales team, sales operations, finance, and executive leadership
  • Produce standing commercial analysis: win/loss patterns by vertical, quote-to-order conversion and cycle time, pricing and margin trends, and pipeline health
  • Build the models and data layer behind the commercial forecast, which the business unit owners own and Sales Operations facilitates
  • Perform configuration, testing, and deployment directly, and manage sandboxes, release management, and change control
  • Own a prioritized enhancement roadmap sequenced by business impact, and translate stakeholder requirements into executable build plans
  • Own the data contract between Salesforce and Epicor — quote to order to backlog — and the reconciliation that keeps commercial and operations aligned
  • Maintain the linkage between opportunity, intake, and purchase order, and contribute to the design of front-end order capture in Salesforce that feeds Epicor
  • Build and maintain quote configuration including product catalog structure, pricing rules, and approval routing. Develop plan to automate the cost and margin inputs assembled ad hoc today
  • Develop and administer the data hygiene strategy, and build the audit tooling and metrics that make the standard measurable
  • Train internal users, maintain documentation, and serve as the primary point of contact for platform support
  • Scope and manage external implementation partners, reducing reliance on outside capacity over time

Qualifications

  • Five-plus years spanning Salesforce platform ownership and commercial or business analytics
  • Direct experience as the primary administrator of a production Salesforce org, with the Salesforce Certified Administrator credential
  • Deep declarative configuration expertise: Flow, complex validation logic, data model design, and the Salesforce security and sharing model
  • Demonstrated analytical capability beyond report-building; be able to frame a question, build the model, and defend the answer to leadership
  • Advanced Excel and strong SQL or equivalent data query skills
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with an ERP such as Epicor, including order and bookings flows between CRM and ERP
  • Experience developing and executing data quality and governance programs, and training non-technical users
  • Manufacturing or engineered-to-order environment where CRM data feeds production or capacity planning preferred
  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder certification, CPQ configuration experience, and familiarity with BI tooling such as Power BI or Tableau are a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Annual base salary ranges from $121,200 to $166,600. VulcanForms provides medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; paid time off; and 401(k) matching.
