About the Role

War Room is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team! Reporting to the CGO (Chief Growth Officer), you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, qualifying leads, and supporting our sales pipeline. You’ll play a key role in connecting with prospective clients and positioning our digital marketing and technical services to meet their needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is motivated, curious, and eager to build a career in sales within a fast-growing digital marketing agency.


What You’ll Be Doing

Lead & Pipeline Development

  • Identify, prospect, and engage potential clients through outbound channels (email, LinkedIn, and calling where appropriate)
  • Qualify inbound leads and book discovery meetings that align with War Room’s ideal client profile
  • Ensure a consistent flow of sales-qualified opportunities for the CGO

Prospecting & Research

  • Build targeted prospect lists using tools such as Apollo.ai, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms
  • Conduct account and contact research to personalize outreach
  • Support refinement of ICPs, personas, and targeting criteria

CRM & Sales Operations

  • Accurately track leads, activities, and outcomes in HubSpot
  • Maintain strong CRM hygiene and follow established workflows
  • Contribute to reporting on outreach activity, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution
  • Document outreach sequences, qualification criteria, and SDR best practices
  • Share insights on what messaging and approaches are resonating in the market



Skills + Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles (internships or co-op experience welcome).
  • Strong interest in digital marketing, advertising, or tech services.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting and resilient in handling rejections.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple outreach activities.
  • Proactive self-starter with a growth mindset.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) is an asset.

The pay range for this role is:

49,000 - 60,000 CAD per year (Remote)
