About the role

  • We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Project Scheduler to support our Project Management Office. The Project Scheduler will be responsible to develop and maintain project schedules and activities for a large capital project involving power plant delivery.
  • This is a part time, remote, 1099 independent contractor role without benefits. May include some travel (<5%).
  • Compensation is determined by experience, technical expertise, and level of responsibility. Hourly rate of $105-115/hr

What you'll do

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules (Level 3–5) using tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
  • Perform cost tracking, forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and variance analysis
  • Prepare and present monthly cost and schedule performance reports
  • Support baseline development and change control processes
  • Monitor and analyze labor hours, contractor performance, and productivity metrics
  • Assist with risk identification, quantitative risk analysis, and mitigation planning
  • Interface with engineering, construction, procurement, and management teams
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear quality assurance standards and project governance requirements
  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, and documentation controls


Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of project controls experience on large industrial projects, including some commercial/federal nuclear power experience
  • Strong knowledge of cost control, scheduling, and forecasting principles
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and advanced Excel skills
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Ability to gain unescorted access at US nuclear, DOE and DOD sites
