About the role
- As a Senior Nuclear Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction and upgrade projects related to Palisades Nuclear Plant restart effort. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. You will lead a team of engineers, contractors, and construction workers, coordinating their efforts to achieve project goals.
- Primary focus is CCW Heat Exchanger Project.
- This is an on-site full-time, contracted position in Covert, MI at Palisades Nuclear Plant in support of their restart effort.
What you'll do
- Provide leadership and technical expertise to develop and resource load system and component technical information to a structured and uniform project plan.
- The plan will include elements that enable verification of requirements and standards applicable to the system and future state of operation, coordination of schedule and implementation activities, verification of procurement requirements, to include providing information to purchasing to validate existing warehoused goods as well as supporting new purchases as required.
- The PM will provide oversight and direction to supporting personnel in the roles of Field Coordinator and will actively engage with all station stakeholders necessary to ensure the discreet technical scope is inclusive of those stakeholder requirements, as in Engineering or Maintenance.
- The PM will develop and provide input to the creation and management of Key Performance Metrics, Project Controls and maintain oversight of budget, schedule and development of mitigation actions for risk or in situations where implementation performance does not meet performance metrics.
- The PM will be integral to the Holtec-Palisades Projects organization, reporting directly within the leadership of this group as an extension of the group.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction or Project Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in nuclear energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of nuclear industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Must be able to gain unescorted badge access to nuclear power plant facility, which adheres to strict Computer Based Training Fitness-For Duty, Background Check, Drug/Alcohol Testing
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent.
