About the role

What you'll do
* Engineer, maintain, and optimize SQL Queries, database functions, database procedures, and data visualization mechanisms for international loyalty programs using Oracle and SQL Server. * Implement queries and triggers to import data in Elasticsearch engine for real time log aggregation, analysis and querying using Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana for international loyalty programs.
* Design, write, maintain, execute and schedule stored procedures according to business requirements.
* Develop and maintain batch jobs using Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
* Test code to identify defects for improvement.
* Provide prioritization, analysis, and resolution of assigned incidents, changes, and requests, as well as analyze and interpret software systems and diagnose Java exceptions.
* Monitor the health of systems on Splunk and App Dynamics using UNIX commands.
* Communicate status of requests to both internal team and the client, and define and implement operational standard processes and procedures and implement batch jobs.
100% telecommuting is allowed from anywhere within the United States.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related.
- 2 years of experience as software developer, software engineer or related.
- Must have work experience with each of the following: (1) engineer, maintain, and optimize SQL Queries, database functions, database procedures, and data visualization mechanisms for international loyalty programs using Oracle and SQL Server; (2) implement queries and triggers to import data in Elasticsearch engine for real time log aggregation, analysis and querying using Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana for international loyalty programs; (3) monitor the health of systems on Splunk and App Dynamics using UNIX commands; and (4) develop and maintain batch jobs using Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
