About the Role:

 

We’re changemakers, a community of mission driven creatives, communicators, strategists, and technologists and we’re hiring a Product Documentation Specialist in our Minneapolis office. Our Documentation Specialist will be a critical resource in creating and maintaining relevant, meaningful documentation for internal team members and external audiences.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Team, Operations, and Developers to produce and maintain world-class documentation including Platform Features, Use Cases, Release Notes, User Guides, Configuration Guides, API Documentation, and Sales Materials
  • Ability to understand complex functionality and communicate the information in a way that is detailed and easily understood for various audiences
  • Experience or interest in defining/establishing formats for different types of technical documentation
  • Gather feedback on documentation and continuously incorporate for improvement
  • Ensure that documentation artifacts remain current
  • Present technical documentation to relevant stakeholders in a variety of settings (in person, web calls, recordings, etc.)
  • Ability/interest to help with Product Owner responsibilities when capacity permits.

Location:

 

This role is based out of our office in the Designer’s Guild building in the heart of Minneapolis' North Loop neighborhood.  We embrace a hybrid model with three in-office days per week to ensure a mix of collaboration and flexibility to support our employees' success.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with various documentation tools and software to be able to create and update documentation in an efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field
  • 3+ years of Technical Writer, Product Owner, or Business Analysis experience in an agency or corporate setting
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence is required

Professional Skills:

  • Strong technological acumen / curiosity with the ability to seek understanding independently prior to asking for help
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people at all levels and within cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience meeting deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proactive self-starter, working independently to move projects and tasks forward to completion
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases a definite plus

Pay Range:

 

The pay range for this position is estimated to be: $78,000 - $126,000 per year.

There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
