About The Role & Team


We're seeking a full-time Production Engineer who is adept at applying contemporary development principles to system administration tasks, covering the entire lifecycle from design and release to production support and continuous development.

 

You will be working in an exciting, high-speed, and dynamic environment with teams across multiple departments and overseas. The ideal candidate is hardworking with experience in managing and building software and databases for large engineering teams and providing operational support for backend systems deployed in the cloud.  


In This Role, You Will

  • Assist the risk team and operations team in handling company business. 
  • Ensure monitoring of our systems and applications during business hours.
  • Capture and report status, escalate open issues. 
  • Work with development team to deploy, plan, identify conflicts and access control management. 
  • Work with the client services and back-office operation teams to review and address client technical tickets and production application issues. 
  • Work with the test team to process online verification and disaster recovery drills. 
  • Configure sub system and deploy services in Kubernetes clusters. 
  • Monitor and support the ad-hoc needs in our database systems. 
  • Develop the monitoring system and create Java-based test DEMOs for new features. 
  • Document, track, and monitor online incidents in ticketing system to ensure a timely resolution. 
  • Must be able to work 4 rotational shifts and occasionally on-call for weekends to achieve global trading systems 24X7 support. 

 

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or above majoring in Computer Science, or related field. 
  • At least 1 year of IT industry experience. 
  • Understand basic programming for Java, Spring. 
  • Experience with MySQL and/or NoSQL DB, and IT management tools. 
  • Experience with Docker. 
  • Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate. 

 

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Previous experience in the broker-dealer/ fintech industry.
  • Understands Linux OS, containers (Kubernetes), microservices, and at least one common middleware technologies such as Consul, Nginx, MQ, Kafka, Redis.
  • Basic knowledge of AWS cloud-based technologies. 
  • Basic knowledge of Grafana and Prometheus. 
  • Experience with Go. 
  • You are a self-starter and ability to manage multiple tasks.
