About The Role & Team

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Trade Operations to lead and optimize the infrastructure and processes of our award-winning 24/5 trading platform.  This role is responsible for ensuring seamless trade execution, settlement, and reporting across equities, options, and fixed income products for both retail and institutional clients in domestic and international markets.  The Director will play a critical role in delivering operational efficiency, strengthening risk management practices, and ensuring full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. 

In This Role, You Will

• Oversee daily trading operations, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation across our regular, extended, and overnight trading sessions. 
• Ensure trade routes and incoming order flows are optimized to achieve best execution pricing, minimize latency, and maximize fill quality across all supported asset classes. 
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of operations professionals 
• Providing expert trading support to global affiliates and institutional partners 
• Identify gaps and inefficiencies in existing processes and systems, and drive initiatives to enhance scalability, automation, and operational performance 
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Technology teams to deliver trading enhancements, system upgrades, and market expansion initiatives; oversee testing across UAT and production environments 
• Manage operational workflows with market makers, exchanges, and third-party vendors, focusing on order flow monitoring, incident management, and continuous service improvement. 
• Monitor incoming order flow to detect potential fraudulent activity and trading outages. Ensure adherence to SOPs, risk controls, and supervisory frameworks.  

The Skills You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.  
• 8 to 12+ Years of trading operations, middle office, or related functions  
• Active SIE, FINRA Series 7, Series 57, Series 24 licenses required  
• Proven leadership experience with a strong track record of building, developing, and managing high-performing teams 
• Deep expertise in the end-to-end trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes, including equities, options, and fixed income 
• Experience supporting both retail and institutional trading, including order flow management and routing strategies  
• Knowledge of FIX messaging, Bloomberg, and OMS/EMS systems preferred. 
• Demonstrated ownership mindset with exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills 
• Strong understanding of best execution practices, market structure, and regulatory requirements.

This role is based in our NY Wall Street office (44 Wall Street, NYC), where in-person collaboration fuels growth, mentorship, and innovation. At Webull, we’re committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. The base salary range is $185,000-230,000 annually, plus a discretionary bonus and full benefits. Final offers consider experience, location, and relevant qualifications.
