Position Overview
The Sales Manager – Wastewater Treatment Chemicals is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and establishing strong customer relationships across industrial, commercial, and municipal wastewater treatment sectors. This role focuses on promoting a wide range of wastewater treatment chemicals while ensuring technical support, customer satisfaction, and achievement of sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Identify and acquire new clients in industries such as manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, construction, and utilities.
- Expand sales of wastewater treatment chemicals including coagulants, flocculants, , dewatering polymers, and sludge treatment chemicals.
- Conduct market research to identify business opportunities, competitor activities, and customer trends.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, consultants, contractors, and wastewater treatment plant operators.
- Provide product recommendations and technical support based on site requirements.
- Conduct customer visits, follow-ups, and product trials to ensure successful chemical performance.
Technical & Operational Support
- Coordinate with the technical team to arrange jar tests, product demonstrations, and plant performance evaluations.
- Provide chemical dosage calculations, treatment program suggestions, and system optimization guidance.
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate sales reports, customer data, and pipeline forecasts.
- Submit weekly/monthly sales performance reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and industry standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Experience
- 5–7+ years of sales experience in wastewater treatment chemicals, water treatment solutions, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes (primary, secondary, tertiary) and chemical applications
