About the role

The Senior Data & BI Analyst is responsible for helping Wellinks transform complex data into meaningful insights and actionable business decisions. This role combines hands-on data analysis, business intelligence, and data storytelling to uncover trends, identify opportunities, measure performance, and help teams optimize how they work.

The Senior Data & BI Analyst partners closely with leaders across Enrollment, Clinical, Operations, Product, and Technology to answer important business questions, define meaningful KPIs, build trusted reporting, and translate complex analyses into clear recommendations. This individual will also help expand self-service access to data and contribute to a more data-driven culture across Wellinks.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze clinical, operational, enrollment, engagement, and financial data to identify trends, performance drivers, risks, and opportunities
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that help teams understand and improve performance
• Translate complex analyses into clear insights, recommendations, and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Partner with business leaders to define KPIs, measurement frameworks, and success criteria for key initiatives
• Evaluate the impact of operational, product, and clinical workflow changes
• Build and maintain reliable analytical datasets and business logic using SQL and dbt
• Enable self-service analytics by creating trusted, understandable data models and reporting
• Identify data quality issues and collaborate with Data Engineering and other teams to improve data reliability
• Proactively explore company data to surface insights and opportunities that stakeholders may not know to ask about

Key Competencies:

• Advanced SQL skills and strong understanding of relational data
• Strong experience with BI and data visualization tools (Power BI preferred)
• Ability to independently take an ambiguous business question from exploration through analysis, recommendation, and presentation
• Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, analytical models, and measurement frameworks
• Strong quantitative reasoning and ability to distinguish meaningful signals from noise
• Familiarity with dbt, modern analytics engineering practices, and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or Redshift
• Experience working with healthcare, clinical, population health, or patient engagement data

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
• 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, analytics engineering, or a related role
• Demonstrated experience using SQL to analyze complex datasets
• Experience building dashboards and communicating analytical findings to stakeholders
