About the role

We're looking for a Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller to take ownership of core accounting for our UK and European entities, reporting into the Financial Controller and working closely with the wider US-based group finance team. This is an excellent first move out of practice for a qualified or finalist accountant who wants real commercial exposure, ownership, and a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment to grow in – without being a small cog in a huge machine.

You'll be the day-to-day owner of the European numbers, with genuine scope to shape local processes as the business scales, while working within a broader global finance structure.

What you'll do

Owning month-end close for UK and European entities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations

Preparing statutory accounts and supporting audits under IFRS across multiple jurisdictions

Managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations between European entities and the wider global group

Partnering with the Financial Controller and US-based group finance team on reporting, consolidation support, and technical accounting matters

Maintaining and improving controls and processes within NetSuite as the group scales

Supporting VAT and other statutory/tax filings across UK and EU territories, working with local advisors where needed

Getting involved in ad hoc projects: system improvements, acquisition integrations, and process automation

Acting as a key point of contact for auditors, tax advisors and other external stakeholders

Qualifications

ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or finalist (or equivalent), ideally with a practice background

Solid grounding in IFRS, with exposure to UK and/or European statutory reporting

Previous experience with NetSuite strongly preferred

Comfortable working in a remote-first, fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly

A proactive, hands-on approach – happy to get into the detail as well as think about the bigger picture

Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with stakeholders across the business

SaaS or software industry experience is a plus, but not essential

Offerings

Salary up to £65,000, plus 10% annual bonus

     8% employer pension contribution

25 days holiday plus bank holidays

     Fully remote working

A genuine seat at the table in a private equity-backed, scaling SaaS business

Real ownership and exposure to UK and European operations from day one

The chance to build your career in a business that's growing fast – and growing you with it

The pay range for this role is:

60,000 - 65,000 GBP per year (United Kingdom)

Finance/HR

London, United Kingdom
