We're hiring for a Grounds Supervisor!
Location: 6450, Elwood Rd. Sanger CA
Full Time, Year-Round
Pay range: $24.00 - $30.00

Join our team as a Grounds Supervisor, where you'll take pride in maintaining the beauty and safety of our outdoor spaces. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall appearance of the property's grounds, landscaping, and outdoor facilities. You'll lead a team of groundskeepers to ensure that all outdoor areas are clean, safe, and well-kept year-round.

Daily Operations:
A Grounds Supervisor is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the following, but is not limited to:
- Supervise and schedule groundskeeping staff, ensuring that daily tasks and seasonal projects are completed efficiently and to standard.
- Inspect grounds, trees, lawns, irrigation systems, and outdoor facilities for safety, cleanliness, and maintenance upkeep needs.
- Oversee and assist with all grounds maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation, pest control, and general landscaping upkeep.
- Ensure the proper operation, care, and maintenance of grounds equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, tractors, and utility vehicles.
- Responsible for the operation, repair, and scheduling of sprinkler and irrigation systems to ensure proper coverage, efficiency, and water conservation.
- Coordinate seasonal maintenance and daily upkeep of outdoor recreation areas, trails, sports fields, wedding garden, and event spaces.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; prepare purchase requests as needed.
- Train and mentor grounds staff in proper safety procedures, equipment use, and groundskeeping techniques. Utilize the proper feedback methods to hold your staff accountable and ensure understanding of training(s).
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust maintenance and watering schedules accordingly.
- Collaborate with other departments to support events, special projects, and facility requests.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and enforce company safety policies and environmental standards.
- Promote sustainable practices, including water conservation, waste reduction, and eco-friendly landscaping methods.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
- Must have a high school education or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Must have basic computer proficiency for completing purchase orders, work orders, and timekeeping tasks.
- Working knowledge of sprinkler and irrigation systems, landscape tools, fertilizers, and pest management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to plan, delegate, and follow up on work assignments.
- Ability to perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license required; pesticide, irrigation, or equipment certifications preferred.
- Must have proficient knowledge and demonstrated ability to safely and effectively use hand tools and equipment common to grounds maintenance, landscaping, and minor facility repair tasks.
- Requires the ability to multitask, follow & execute instructions with efficiency and proficiency in completion of a variety of assigned projects and tasks
- Must be professional and work well with others at all levels
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays
