Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Project Controller to join our team at our nickel refinery plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in supporting project controls activities, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management for industrial projects. This role requires a deep understanding of project controls principles and the ability to work in a refinery setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Work across multidisciplinary teams to develop and maintain scheduling in Microsoft Projects, Primavera P6, or similar software.
- Support the monitoring of project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any deviations from the plan.
- Assist in the preparation and review of project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
- Implement and maintain project control systems and tools to track project performance.
- Conduct risk assessments and support the development of mitigation plans to address potential project risks.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
- Prepare and present project status reports to management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry-specific standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project controls.
- Provide technical support to project controls specialists and other team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices relevant to project controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls, with a focus on industrial projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, cost control, and risk management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

The pay range for this role is:
90,000 - 155,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
