About the role:

Business Development Representatives (BDRs) are critical to our sales engine, working closely with Account Executives (AEs) to set and close deals in their assigned territories. You’ll be the first point of contact for potential customers, driving conversations, booking meetings, and building a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities. If you love fast-paced environments, collaboration, and the thrill of helping businesses succeed, this role is for you.


Objectives:

In your first 6 weeks, onboard, ramp up, and build a solid sales foundation:

  • Connect with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to understand Widewail’s offerings and why dealerships trust us.
  • Learn our sales process, messaging, and competitive positioning by shadowing top performers.
  • Get hands-on with our CRM, mastering lead tracking, metrics, and outreach strategies.

In your first 3 months, start driving revenue by booking high-quality meetings for your AE:

  • Prospect and engage car dealerships via phone, email, and social to generate interest.
  • Secure and schedule meetings, ensuring a steady flow of qualified opportunities.
  • Work closely with your AE to advance deals, refine outreach, and optimize territory strategy.
  • Track and report on lead generation efforts, consistently improving your approach.

Within 6 months, become a top-performing BDR and a trusted resource for your team:

  • Help refine our sales process by identifying common objections and sharing insights.
  • Partner with marketing and sales leadership to enhance outreach strategies.
  • Begin participating in select sales calls with your AE to gain deeper deal exposure.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years selling software preferred

  • Team Player – You partner closely with your AE, marketing, and the rest of the sales team to maximize success.
  • Resilient & Adaptable – You can handle objections, push through tough days, and continuously improve.

Compensation:

  • 45-60k annually plus variable commissions
