The Opportunity:  WisDems is seeking a highly organized and collaborative digital leader to help drive our online strategy and execution. This role will work closely with the Communications Director to coordinate the digital team’s priorities, oversee content operations, and ensure alignment with the party’s broader goals. The ideal candidate will thrive at managing workflows, reviewing and refining content for accuracy and impact, and fostering cross-team collaboration to deliver compelling digital engagement. Job Responsibilities:

Team & Workflow Coordination

  • Support the Communications Director in managing the digital team’s workload and priorities.
  • Facilitate team check-ins, project timelines, and approvals to ensure deliverables are on track.
  • Provide day-to-day support and direction to an evolving digital team including staff responsible for social media, content creation, and grassroots digital engagement.

Content Operations

  • Review and approve content drafts (social, video, toolkits) for accuracy, alignment, and tone.
  • Ensure that digital content reflects the broader communications strategy and integrates relevant messaging from other departments.
  • Flag emerging issues or opportunities for digital engagement to the Communications Director.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Serve as a point of contact for coordinating digital content needs across departments — especially with Organizing and Political teams.
  • Help track and report on key digital outputs and metrics.
  • Help to prioritize requests from across departments.

Qualifications (Required):

  • 1-2 Electoral cycles of digital communications experience on a campaign or in a campaign aligned role (Committee, Agency etc). 
  • Experience coordinating projects or team operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a close eye for tone, clarity, grammar and message alignment.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and platforms that WisDems uses such as Action Network, Actblue, Wordpress, NGP, Adobe Creative Suites, Social Media monitoring and planning tools, Rach, Tatango, Switchboard, and Mobilize.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and keep others on track.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the Democratic Party.

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff or interns.
  • Familiarity with Wisconsin politics or State Democratic Party infrastructure.
  • Experience working with vendors or consultants.
  • Basic comfort with creating visual content.

The pay range for this role is:

85,000 - 102,000 USD per year (In Person - Madison (1 N))
