The Opportunity: As a Research Tracking Associate, you will be the eyes and ears of our research team, gathering real-time information on Republican opponents. In this role, you will monitor schedules of public events, looking for opportunities to get GOP candidates on the record and hold them accountable. You will also transcribe and report on campaign activities and  build experience creating various communications and research materials and projects, and fulfill other duties as needed, including contributing to opposition research and rapid response efforts.


Job Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor National and Wisconsin political media.
  • Monitor campaign opponent’s schedules.
  • Attend public events to record candidate speeches, activities, and discussions.
  • Transcribe events and maintain a database of past candidate statements, schedules, and speeches.
  • Create opportunities to hold opponents accountable by capturing them on the record.
  • Support broader research and communications efforts.
  • On year requirements include working outside of normal work hours; including canvassing and other election-preparation as necessary.

  • Attention to Detail – ability to recall details large and small, and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Multitasking In A Fast Paced Environment - able to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy and efficiently juggle multiple tasks. Capable of quickly learning new research tools and processes.
  • Access to Reliable Transportation. 

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Exceptional Communications Skills - Has exceptional written and verbal competencies and shows an aptitude to handle difficult conversations.
  • Experience in, and an Understanding of, Wisconsin’s Complex Political Landscape.

The pay range for this role is:

42,000 - 48,000 USD per year (In Person - Madison (15 N))
