We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to help clients design, implement, and maintain security controls that satisfy compliance and security requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cloud security engineering, compliance frameworks, and security best practices for cloud-based environments.

Responsibilities: 

•  Implement security controls and best practices in AWS, GCP, and Azure to meet compliance requirements. 
• Work with clients to assess security risks and recommend solutions to strengthen their security posture. 
• Deploy and manage cloud security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and identity management solutions. 
• Assist in SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA compliance initiatives, including control implementation and evidence collection. 
• Automate security processes and develop infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions for security controls. 
• Perform cloud security reviews, architecture assessments, and remediation for security misconfigurations. 
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into development workflows. 
• Respond to security incidents and support incident response planning and remediation efforts. • Communicate directly with clients via text, email, and phone to address security concerns and provide guidance. 

Must-have Qualifications: 

• Hands-on experience securing AWS, GCP, or Azure environments. 
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, network security, and compliance requirements. 
• Experience implementing security automation (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Python, or Bash scripting). 
• Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, or similar compliance frameworks. 
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. 
• Ability to work directly with US-based clients and manage multiple projects. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with SIEMs, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, and log analysis tools. 
• Cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, GCP Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM, or CISA). 
• Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevSecOps practices. 
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and identity security models. 
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced startup environment. 

Requirements: 

• Ability to work during US Eastern Time zone hours. 
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
