What You've Done
3+ years experience (ideally in an agency background) of working on social channels or campaigns
1-2 years’ experience of building audiences and engagement through social media
Ability to come up with ideas quickly
Examples of social media marketing successes and wins or personal social triumphs
An instinct for stories that will make people take notice
Strong understanding of social platforms including but not limited to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest
Basic Google Suite Skills (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms)
Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills
Bonus
Knowledge of open source CMS (WordPress, Drupal), hosting companies (VIP, Pantheon), industries such as media and digital publishing, financial services
Interest in blogging
Some experience with social tools and analytics such as Facebook Insights, Sprout Social and Google Analytics a plus
Experience monitoring and reporting on social campaigns a plus
Adobe suite experience a plus (Photoshop, etc.)
Develop and execute marketing strategies for social networking services, including blogs, LinkedIn, Twitter, with a focus on content-driven growth
Be active in the community and leverage social listening to gather valuable insights that inform the brand strategy, marketing and promotion of XWP
Foster collaboration with the WordPress community, the Open-Source community, hosting providers, influencers in the space, WordPress developers and even our competitors to develop and enhance social media content for marketing campaigns
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and conversations happening in social media, and come up with content strategies for engaging our community
Create timely and relevant content optimized for the platform and audience
Coordinate with the Engineering and Delivery teams to gather user feedback and inform them of industry trends and conversations
Perform research, analysis, and social listening to gain insights and shape marketing strategy
Collaborate with team members to optimize automation and lead-nurturing processes through email, content, events, and social channels
Work with our Client Success team to produce bigger and better ideas
Create and distribute monthly reports on critical metrics for lead generation, content creation, website traffic, and other KPIs
