Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Employee Relations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business teams to support HR initiatives aligned with business goals, including policy implementation, employee relations, talent development, and performance management. This role involves partnering with management to build high-performing teams and fostering an environment conducive to achieving business objectives. The Employee Relations Manager will also lead organizational change, provide coaching and support to managers on complex employee relations issues, and resolve work-related concerns.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partners with business teams to support HR initiatives in support of business goals/objectives, including HR policies and procedures, employee relations, talent development, and performance management.
- Works as a business partner with management to build high performing work teams and an environment to achieve business goals.
- Partners with front line managers and employees to anticipate and lead through organizational change.
- Provides coaching, advice, and support to managers through complex employee relations and other employment issues that may arise.
- Works with employees to resolve concerns and complaints regarding work related issues.
- Conducts effective and thorough investigations.
- Consults with management on planning and directing to identify gaps and align HR with business strategies.
- Provides training to managers and employees on a variety of HR and leadership topics as needed.
- Collaborates with key leaders to develop, revise and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Stays up to date on current labor laws and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Supports system administration to ensure employee changes and updates are maintained.
- Supports and manages HR projects as directed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
- Minimum of 7 years of HR and employee relations experience.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse business leaders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate a proactive mentality to solve complex issues and drive initiatives forward
- Familiarity with California employment laws and regulations preferred but not required
