Trophy Point, a division of YA, provides Pre-Construction consulting services with an emphasis on Construction Cost Estimating services. Through the estimates provided and Trophy Point's knowledge of construction, the organization works with its customers to aid in the alignment of scope and budget on a given project.
Summary:
The Preconstruction Estimating Business Development Executive is responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand YA’s business and maximize revenue growth for the company, with a particular focus on Trophy Point’s offerings. The Business Development Executive will network within the industry to build long lasting relationships, spread awareness and understanding around offered service areas, build upon existing clientele base, and provide YA with a pipeline of potential business opportunities.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Identify and follow through on new business opportunities through prospecting, lead generating, networking, and other methods.
- Frequently collaborate, establishing and maintaining trusting relationships internally and externally.
- Achieve personal goals and strategic company goals through consultive selling within the Trophy Point’s markets.
- Understand client business pain points and needs, driving interest of YA Group service lines and offerings.
- Continuously build upon personal knowledge of YA service lines to better understand and provide expertise.
- Conduct presentations with clients, speaking to solutions and service offerings.
- Represent YA at various meetings, conferences, and events.
- Proactively visit potential and existing clients in the regions within which they operate in order to promote YA’s offerings via one-on-one meetings, lunch n’ learns, and presentations.
- Develop relationships with subcontractors / contractors in agreed upon regions in order to assist with the sales process.
- Develop and maintain strong influential client relationships with C-level executives and high-level decisions makers within existing and new accounts
- Provide exceptional customer service, modeling high standards and accountability.
- Regularly update national sales management on the current status and progress of accounts.
- Assist clients with high-level / concept cost estimates on projects, as needed, as a means by which to further relationships and advance opportunities.
- Other projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent years of experience.
- 10+ years of work experience in consultive sales. business development, account management or similar role required.
- 5+ years of experience with pre-construction cost consulting services as an estimating professional.
- Extensive experience working with design professionals (i.e., Architects, Engineers, etc.).
- AACE CEP (or equivalent) certifications are highly recommended but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe).
- This role requires the ability to travel frequently.
