Our vision is to build and seed sustainable civic infrastructure that centers young people, BIPOC communities, and working-class voters, especially those historically excluded from political power. Through bold organizing, strategic civic engagement, and aligned electoral programming, this new formation will seek to build power, shape narrative, and drive measurable outcomes across elections and issue-based campaigns.
We believe that long-term political transformation in our country requires bold experimentation, strong operational alignment, and a willingness to invest in shared infrastructure while coordinating local efforts under a cohesive national strategy. By uniting state affiliates within a clearly defined set of political priorities, we can leverage the advantages of collective resources and coordination, even as each affiliate tailors its approach to meet the distinct needs of its community.
Role: Organizational Specialist
Reports To: State Director
Location: Remote, Periodic in state-travel up to 30% may be required
Job Type: Full-Time
Benefits: Health insurance and paid time off; details provided upon request
Salary Range: $65,000 - $77,000 annually DOE
FLSA Classification: Salaried Exempt

Position Summary
Badger Youth Organizing (BYO) / Badger Youth Action (BYA) is hiring an Organizational Specialist to support, strengthen, and execute our base-building efforts in a cross-functional capacity. This role sits at the intersection of field organizing, digital engagement, data, and internal operations, and is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is excited to contribute across multiple aspects of movement-building work.
The Organizing Specialist will play a versatile role in strengthening both our organizing infrastructure and the systems that sustain it. This includes leading outreach and engagement efforts, while also building, managing, and continuously improving the infrastructure, tools, and workflows that support durable, long-term base-building. This role is designed for someone who is comfortable shifting between priorities, taking ownership of projects, and contributing wherever the work is most needed.
The strongest candidates will be those who are energized by talking to new people, passionate about civic power, and eager to turn campuses and communities into hubs of democratic participation. They will be bold, creative, and have experience leading successful organizing efforts.
