We’re looking for a talented, self-driven Mid-to-Senior Level Freelance Designer to join our dynamic fintech team. This role is hands-on—you’ll dive in quickly, helping to bring campaigns to life across our owned channels by combining brand storytelling with performance-driven design. You’ll touch every corner of our brand, across web, social, marketing, and more, to ensure it feels cohesive and polished. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external agencies to craft thoughtful, engaging creative that reflects our evolving brand and mission.

We’re seeking someone who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves—a self-starter who takes initiative, works independently, and can manage multiple priorities with focus and flexibility in an evolving environment.

Please note: This is a temporary, part-time role to provide maternity leave coverage. The position will run from August 2025 through mid-January 2026 and is not intended to convert to a full-time role. The role is project-based, and designers can expect to work between 10 and 40 hours per week. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate high-level campaign concepts into compelling creative across all owned channels, including email, website, social media, and more
  • Design, maintain, and evolve design systems, including modular email templates, brand guidelines, and documentation
  • Produce performance-optimized assets such as digital display ads, marketing materials, and potential for landing pages
  • Partner closely with outside creative agencies to ensure campaign consistency and timely execution
  • Create presentations and decks that visually articulate key initiatives, data, and brand messages
  • Partner closely with the VP of Marketing and the Product Design team to uphold and evolve the Yieldstreet brand identity across every touchpoint
  • Maintain a high standard of craft while moving quickly and efficiently within a campaign-driven environment
  • Contribute to creative direction on motion or video assets as needed

Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of design experience across multiple channels
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating digital design, campaign execution, and brand systems work
  • Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Workspace (including Slides, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of responsive design, typography, and layout best practices
  • Ability to build and evolve robust design systems—including email templates, brand guidelines, and assets for both digital and print channels
  • Background in brand identity with a sharp eye for consistency and detail
  • Strong organization skills, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

    • Experience in fintech or startup environments
    • Previous collaboration with product design teams implementing UI/UX updates
    • Experience with basic motion design and animation

The pay range for this role is:

75-125 USD / hour
