About Willow Wealth
Willow Wealth is a leading private markets investment platform. We believe that private markets investment products should be a fundamental part of your portfolio. That’s why we’re expanding access to make it easier to get started. We partner with experienced investment managers to provide investors with a wide range of opportunities across real estate, venture capital, private equity, art, short-term notes, and more. All of our offerings are curated and vetted by our team to help investors diversify away from the stock market.
About the Role
We are hiring an Investment Analyst to source and underwrite direct investment opportunities brought to the firm by our Real Estate and Private Credit teams, and to evaluate third-party alternative investment managers being considered for the platform. This is a hands-on diligence role: you will build financial models, write Investment Committee memos, and help the team form a clear view on risk, structure, and return across a wide range of deal types, from single-asset real estate transactions to fund-level commitments with institutional sponsors.
You will work closely with the Head of Portfolio Management, General Counsel, and Investment Committee members, and will need to move comfortably between direct deal underwriting and manager-level due diligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct real estate investments: underwriting equity and debt positions across a range of real estate transaction types and structures
- Asset based finance: underwriting loans and credit structures secured by specific assets or cash flow streams, and evaluating fund-level exposure to asset based lending strategies
- Structured products and securitizations: reviewing preferred equity, debt, and securitized instruments
- Third-party manager and fund due diligence: evaluating institutional partnerships and fund structures across a consistent diligence framework
- Specialty asset classes: supporting diligence on other asset types on the platform as needed, including art-backed lending, aviation financing, equipment lease and financing, intellectual property finance, and music and pharma royalties
- Investment Committee materials: producing underwriting memos, diligence frameworks, and recommendation write-ups (approve, conditional approve, decline) for IC review
- Market and manager research: tracking private markets data and news (real estate outlook reports, credit market commentary, manager updates) to keep diligence current
Qualifications
- Approximately 2 years of relevant experience in investment analysis, underwriting, or portfolio due diligence
- Familiarity with preferred equity, debt instruments, and securitizations; direct experience at a platform or firm focused on these instrument types is a strong plus
- Strong AI fluency - you should be comfortable using AI tools to accelerate modelling, document review, research synthesis, and memo drafting, and should be able to demonstrate specific ways you have used AI to improve the speed or quality of your analytical work
- Solid modelling skills, including comfort with waterfall structures, drawdown and return analysis, and comparing return profiles under different fee and return mandates
- Strong written communication skills - you will be producing memos that go directly to an Investment Committee, so clarity and precision matter
- Self-starter who can manage multiple live diligence threads at once and knows when to escalate open questions rather than guess
- A background at a wealth management firm, or a firm investing on behalf of US taxable investors, is preferred
- Experience working with an investor base that includes accredited investors is a plus, though not required
