Zaden Technologies seeks a DevSecOps Engineer (Azure/AI) to support secure cloud architecture and AI-enabled services within our defense programs. This engineer will serve as the team's Azure subject matter expert, responsible for IL4/IL5 landing zones and compliant managed service adoption. This position is located onsite at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and implement IL4/IL5-compliant Azure landing zones with comprehensive networking, identity, and logging configurations
- Manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters using GitOps principles with FluxCD and Helm
- Author and maintain Terraform modules for Azure infrastructure automation
- Integrate Entra ID and Keycloak for secure access management and authentication
- Implement AI workloads including Azure OpenAI and Cognitive Services within secure boundaries
- Ensure compliance with NIST 800-171 for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Cloud SRG IL4/IL5 requirements
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship on Azure best practices and DevSecOps methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure cloud solutions
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
- 5+ years of DevSecOps or Cloud engineering experience with Azure focus
- Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Terraform, and policy-based automation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and drive initiatives
- Comfortable administering and securing Linux systems
- Solid understanding of networking principles and cloud security architectures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active security clearance
- Experience deploying workloads at DoD IL4/IL5 impact levels
- Hands-on experience with RHEL and RHEL-based Linux distributions
- Familiarity with Windows Server administration and automation
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) or AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
- Experience with Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, or other AI/ML platforms
- Knowledge of GitOps workflows and tools (FluxCD, ArgoCD)
- Experience with identity and access management solutions (Entra ID, Keycloak)
- Understanding of DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG)
