Zaden Technologies is seeking an experienced L3 and L4 Power BI Automation Engineer to join our team supporting critical defense and space system initiatives. This role will work directly with customers to identify requirements, develop functioning prototypes, and deliver decision support tools that enhance operational efficiency and data-driven decision making. The position requires collaboration with data scientists, business analysts, and technical staff to execute projects of strategic importance while building trusted advisor relationships with leadership across defense organizations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI to support executive-level decision making
  • Create and configure automated workflows using Power Apps and Power Automate to enhance user experience and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, document user needs, and translate them into technical specifications
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power Platform applications, workflows, and dashboards
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with O365 services including SharePoint, Teams, and external databases
  • Ensure solutions adhere to government security standards, compliance policies, and best practices
  • Conduct user training and create comprehensive documentation to support solution adoption
  • Monitor and resolve issues to ensure reliability, functionality, and performance of deployed solutions
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, workflow optimization, and automation of repetitive tasks
  • Stay current on Power Platform updates, security enhancements, and compliance protocols

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, science, or technical field
  • 5+ years of IT support experience with at least 1 year of advanced O365 experience
  • Demonstrated experience with Power BI dashboard development and data visualization
  • Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate workflow development
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work with stakeholders and leadership at all levels
  • Ability to work independently with keen attention to detail
  • Experience with data integration and management across multiple platforms
  • Knowledge of security standards and compliance requirements for government systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Living within commuting distance to San Antonio, TX
  • Active security clearance
  • Master's degree in technical field
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Active Directory
  • At least two Microsoft 365 certifications (Endpoint Administrator, Messaging Administrator, Security Administrator, Modern Desktop Administrator, Developer Associate, Teams Administrator, Identity and Access Administrator, or Information Protection and Compliance Administrator)
  • Experience supporting DoD or defense contractor environments
  • Background in advanced analytics or business intelligence
  • Experience with SharePoint integration and Teams collaboration tools
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines in fast-paced, critical support environments
  • Experience training end users on technical solutions
