COMPENSATION: $105,000 - $135,000

DESCRIPTION:

Zaden Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (L3) to join our innovative team working on our Direct to Phase II SBIR contract developing the Icarus platform - an AI-Enhanced Architecture as Code capability for automatically generating SysML models of advanced systems. In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality software solutions, implementing containerized applications, and supporting our DevSecOps practices. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance the Icarus platform that is revolutionizing how systems architecture is modeled and generated.

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop software solutions using Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python for the Icarus platform
• Implement and maintain containerized applications using Docker/Podman
• Create and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI for automated testing and deployment
• Configure and deploy applications to Kubernetes environments
• Collaborate with the team to integrate SysML modeling capabilities into the platform
• Implement automated testing frameworks and methodologies to ensure code quality
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues and bugs
• Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices are followed
• Document technical specifications, processes, and solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement solutions

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Python development
• Experience with GitLab and GitLab CI for version control and CI/CD
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker/Podman)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with Agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active security clearance
• Experience with Theia IDE development or usage
• Knowledge of SysML or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience with cloud-native application development
• Familiarity with test-driven development practices
• Experience in DevSecOps environments
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts and applications
• Experience with defense or aerospace software systems
• Experience working in a startup environment
