Role Summary:


As a Research Consultant, you will be essential to our executive search process, identifying and engaging high-caliber candidates for our clients. In this project-based role, you will conduct industry research, using databases and building a network of contacts to find top talent. Your key tasks include presenting opportunities to candidates, building relationships, and assessing their fit with client needs. 


Collaborating with team members, you'll support the evaluation, interview scheduling, and final selection stages to ensure successful search outcomes. You'll also stay updated on new research tools and techniques, sharing best practices and training new team members. Additionally, you'll contribute to marketing, training, business development, and internal recruitment, making this role diverse and enriching for those who enjoy research, strategic thinking, and people interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in project teams to successfully appoint the best-qualified candidate for specific roles.
  • Build an understanding of the sector, key target companies, and specific roles as a starting point.
  • Utilize internal and external databases to identify potentially qualified candidates.
  • Build and leverage a network for referrals and recommendations.
  • Develop research skills and knowledge of strategy, private equity, and the commercial company landscape across multiple sectors.
  • Present opportunities to target candidates, aiming to find those for whom the role is a good match with their experience and aspirations.
  • Build relationships with multiple high-caliber individuals and discuss specific opportunities to assess fit.
  • Remain involved through the successful conclusion of the search, assisting with scheduling interviews and attending client update meetings.
  • Stay abreast of new resources, networks, and research approaches that might benefit search activities.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of different techniques and lead the sharing of best practices within the team.
  • Develop an expert level of competency in the technology tools used, training new team members, and leading internal sessions to develop these skills within the business.
  • Contribute to non-search related areas of the business, such as marketing, training, business development, and internal recruitment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree. 
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and engage with high-caliber individuals.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborative, team-spirited and supportive of others.
  • Intellectually curious; fast-learning.
  • Proficiency with technology tools and databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in a research, consulting, or recruiting role.
