Job Description 

Zuckerman Investment Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented recent graduate to join our Wealth Management Team in a full-time role. RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Collaborate closely with senior client advisors to support the delivery of personalized financial planning and wealth management services. 
  • Manage day-to-day client service needs, including initiating money movements, opening new accounts, preparing materials for client meetings, and assisting with various client-related tasks and projects. 
  • Serve as a liaison with custodians to facilitate client transactions, account openings, post-trade processes, voluntary corporate actions, and tax documentation. 
  • Support daily operations such as trade reconciliation, allocations, and settlement processes, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Assist the investment and portfolio management teams with projects, research, and other activities that support investment decision-making. 
  • Work with internal client service teams to track, prioritize, and ensure timely resolution of client requests and service needs. 
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers to help implement investment strategies and monitor asset allocations across client accounts.

  • Proven ability to grasp and comprehend highly complex, widely varied problems and concepts and then communicate them in a simple, straightforward manner.  
  • Maintains the highest standard of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality. 
  • Maintains strong communication and working relationships with team members. 
  • Provides clear and efficient communication to leadership team and partners. 
  • An unrelenting desire to learn and understand “how things work”. 
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. 

This position is ideal for students graduating within the next academic year or recent grads within 12 months of graduation. Previous internship experience is preferred. 

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree  
  • Preferred Majors: Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Development, Marketing 
  • Minimum GPA: 3.5 
  • Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented and able to multi-task with time-sensitive items 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Interest in taking one of the CFP, CPA or CFA exams 

Base Salary:  

The base pay range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, and skills. 

Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation. We provide industry-competitive salaries and significant incentive plan opportunities, a generous profit sharing 401(k) retirement plan, health insurance, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability programs, a hybrid work environment and paid-time-off programs and opportunities for growth within the firm.  This role is also eligible for bonus, subject to company policy.
