JOB DESCRIPTION 

Zuckerman Investment Group is looking for a highly motivated HR Coordinator to support day-to-day human resources and office management functions. This role will assist with onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, payroll processing, and general office coordination. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that is adaptable and eager to learn and grow.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records in our HRIS (Rippling), ensuring data integrity across systems. 
  • Support all aspects of benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, employee inquiries, and coordination with third-party administrators and vendors. 
  • Assist in managing performance review processes. 
  • Conduct monthly payroll audits to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, and support payroll compliance reporting. 
  • Support recruitment activities by coordinating interviews, managing candidate communications, and providing administrative support throughout the hiring process. 
  • Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring a smooth transition experience. 
  • Manage daily office operations, including supply inventory, catering, facility maintenance, mail handling, and vendor coordination. 
  • Ensure a seamless client and visitor experience by managing meeting logistics and office hospitality needs. 
  • Oversee building access and serve as liaison for building communications. 
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for general office needs, including basic IT support in partnership with the IT department. 
  • Perform other administrative and HR-related duties as assigned. 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Maintains the highest standard of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality. 
  • Strong work ethic with exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams and functions. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems such as Rippling, ADP, or QuickBooks. 
  • Previous experience with payroll processing preferred. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience. 
  • Internship or administrative experience in HR or office coordination a plus. 
  • At least two years related experience preferred.

BASE SALARY:  

The base pay range for this position is $65,000 – 80,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, and skills. 

Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation. We provide industry-competitive salaries and significant incentive plan opportunities, a generous profit sharing 401(k) retirement plan, health insurance, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability programs, a hybrid work environment and paid-time-off programs and opportunities for growth within the firm.  This role is also eligible for bonus, subject to company policy and performance.
