This role will be located in Vancouver and is full-time onsite.


What You'll Do


IT Leadership and Strategy

  • Develop and implement IT strategies which align with corporate goals
  • Lead and manage external service providers
  • Oversee all aspects of End User Services
  • Maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders
  • Create a long term roadmap for infrastructure and security (local and cloud)

Security and Compliance

  • Manage and oversee company security/cybersecurity program
  • Maintain and enhance IT policies such as disaster recovery, business continuity, security response plan, etc.
  • Manage all software security/cybersecurity tools

Cloud and Local Infrastructure

  • Manage IT’s local infrastructure at all major sites
  • Manage AWS and Azure environments 

Budget Management

  • Manage IT End User Services, infrastructure, and security budgets
  • Collaborate with IT Applications team on future projects/enhancements

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Minimum of 12 years of IT experience in positions of increasing responsibility, with a minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in technical operations/support environment
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing corporate infrastructure, security with Life Science/Biotech preferred
  • Proven strong leadership and management skills
  • Extensive experience in security/cybersecurity, data security, AWS/Azure security, endpoint security
  • Experience managing IT budgets including AWS
  • Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations
  • Proven experience with a Windows/Linux mixed environment with high performance computing both local and in the cloud
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Understanding of compliance and controls related to GxP, SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, PII, PHI, CCPA
  • Experience performing vendor security audits

The base salary range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the location for which the job is posted and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by a variety of factors and the salary offered may vary depending on the successful candidate’s location and qualifications (including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, education, training, skills, and experience).

The pay range for this role is:

142,500 - 218,500 CAD per year (CA)
