This role will be located in Vancouver and is full-time onsite.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and manage inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review customs documentation for international shipments, maintaining up-to-date permits and licenses.
- Receive incoming materials, notify relevant personnel, document receipts, stocks shelves and breaks down and disposes of packaging.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including database entries and real-time tracking of shipments, inventory levels, excess and obsolete (E&O) items, and cycle counts.
- Monitor and manage temperature-sensitive materials, ensuring proper storage and handling.
- Maintain Purchase Order receipt records using procurement software (e.g., Coupa) ensuring accurate logging and filing.
- Manage the review and approval of import/export shipments, including coordinating payments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., Lab Operations, Procurement, Accounts Payable) and external partners (e.g., customs brokers) to ensure alignment with company objectives while maintaining a high level of service delivery.
- Ensure work areas are well-maintained, clean and tidy
- Conduct all activities in accordance with OS&H standards, regulations, and established company policies and practices.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Certifications in logistics, shipping or related areas are considered an asset.
- Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional team. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a high paced, fast changing environment. Results-oriented.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills with a proactive, problem-solving approach. Demonstrates initiative.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must hold or be willing to be trained on Transportation of Dangerous Goods and WHIMS.
- Comfortable working in a scientific or laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of Purchase Order based receiving.
- Experience with storage and handling of temperature sensitive materials.
- Experience using an ERP system, or inventory database.
- Familiarity with courier portal like FedEx/UPS/Freight Forwarder ship manager.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Smartsheet is considered an asset.

The base salary range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the location for which the job is posted and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
