OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Strategy & Operations Lead will act as the primary bridge between the CEO’s vision and our global execution. As we move from an Australia-centric startup to a global technology leader, we need someone to ensure our leadership team stays aligned and our strategy actually gets delivered across every region.

This is a role for someone who is highly organised, understands technology, and knows how to make a large organisation move as one. You will own our leadership operating rhythm, track our performance via global scorecards, and ensure that our growth and global scaling are seamless and data-driven.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Drive strategy & execution

● Operationalise the Global Model: Support the transition from a centralised team to a regional structure (US/AUS/EMEA). You’ll ensure our global functions are effectively supporting our teams on the ground in different time zones.

● Balanced Scorecard Tracking: Manage the framework we use to measure success. You will manage the reporting against and tracking of the Balanced Scorecard, working with regional leaders to ensure performance is visible and everyone is pulling in the same direction.

● Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the "glue" between departments in all global locations. You’ll be the person who ensures that a decision made in one office is understood and acted upon across the entire global footprint.

● Lead Special Projects: Take the lead on high-priority growth initiatives and strategic projects as they arise to support our international expansion and operational maturity.

2. Manage the executive rhythm

● ELT & GLT Facilitation: Own the organisation, agendas and follow-ups for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Global Leadership Team (GLT). You will plan and facilitate our global strategy offsites to ensure they result in clear, documented decisions.

● Information & Reporting: Streamline how we report on performance. You’ll ensure the CEO has a clear, accurate view of the business, focusing on key metrics and regional growth.

● CEO Support: Act as a right-hand to the CEO. You’ll handle high-priority tasks that don't have a natural home, provide objective feedback on business issues, and manage sensitive executive matters with total discretion.

3. Support Global Scaling

● Regional Connectivity: Partner with regional leads to make sure our global strategy is practical and achievable in their specific markets.

● Strategic Implementation: Ensure the 2026 strategy is not just a document but is being implemented consistently across the US, EMEA, and APAC divisions.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business

● Post-graduate business qualification (e.g., MBA) is an advantage but not essential if balanced with relevant experience.

● 7+ years of experience in management consulting, strategic operations, or a Chief of Staff role within a global technology or engineering-led organisation.

● Proven experience managing global reporting frameworks and tracking performance against Balanced Scorecards.

● Background in supporting executive-level leadership and facilitating high-stakes strategic meetings.

● Expertise in interpreting and applying complex strategic data to operational reality.

● High proficiency in OKR methodologies and performance management systems.

● Strong ability to translate technical engineering concepts into business-focused executive summaries.

● Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives across different time zones.

● International Travel: ability and willingness to travel internationally as required (primarily to the US and Europe) to facilitate global leadership offsites and ensure regional alignment.
