This role is hybrid, requiring three days per week onsite in our Needham, MA headquarters.  


We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and evolve our DevOps and cloud platform. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who thrives in Linux environments, builds robust CI/CD systems, and is comfortable working across infrastructure and application layers.

You won’t just maintain pipelines — you’ll improve architecture, automate complexity, and shape platform standards that enable engineering teams to move faster and safer.


What You’ll Do
  • Architect, build, and maintain Jenkins pipelines using Groovy and Python
  • Design and implement automation using Ansible
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and optimize Linux-based systems
  • Support and enhance Kubernetes-based CI/CD execution environments
  • Maintain and extend C# REST APIs and Python-based automation services
  • Design and optimize NoSQL data models supporting platform services
  • Maintain and enhance SPA-based internal tooling UIs
  • Conduct code reviews and promote high standards for quality, security, and maintainability
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous technical improvement
  • Apply design thinking and systems thinking to DevOps and platform solutions
  • Improve deployment reliability, scalability, and operational resilience
  • Contribute to infrastructure provisioning and cloud architecture using Terraform
  • Define and enforce best practices for source control, branching strategies, and deployment workflows
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule supporting critical platform services

What We’re Looking For
Required
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps environments
  • Strong hands-on expertise navigating and troubleshooting Linux systems
  • 3+ years building and maintaining Jenkins pipelines using Groovy
  • 3+ years of experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation
  • Professional experience in Python or C#, including maintaining backend services
  • Experience designing and working with NoSQL databases and data models
  • Experience managing enterprise Git workflows and branching strategies
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Kubernetes, particularly supporting CI/CD execution workloads
  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
  • Experience implementing test automation for CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Molecule)
  • Experience building or maintaining SPA-based UIs
  • Azure cloud experience or certifications

The estimated base salary range for this position is $150,000-$170,000 plus bonus & equity.
