General Shop Laborer

Garrett Container Systems, Inc. (GCS), headquartered in Accident, Maryland, is a leading manufacturer of reusable aluminum storage and shipping containers. With a new 160,000 sq. ft. facility opening in Amarillo, Texas, in late 2024, GCS continues to grow, offering advanced manufacturing capabilities, including machining, welding, and robotics.


Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated General Shop Laborer to join our team. This role involves assembling products with precision and efficiency in a warehouse setting.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble products using power tools and hand tools according to specifications
  • Read and interpret assembly instructions and blueprints
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in assembly or a related field is preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with power tools and hand tools is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills

 

Work Environment:

This position is based in a warehouse setting where teamwork and efficiency are essential.

 

Shift:  

Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM
