Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to support our quality assurance operations. This role is vital to ensuring the safety, accuracy, and compliance of our aluminum welded products. Responsibilities:

  • Inspect welding processes, materials, and finished weldments to ensure compliance with AWS standards
  • Measure components using straightedges or templates for specification conformity
  • Evaluate and assist with part positioning and pre-weld configurations
  • Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent material distortion
  • Identify defective materials and equipment issues
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and dispose of waste properly
  • Follow and enforce safety protocols at all times

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED, preferred
  • 1–3 years of welding-related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • AWS CAWI or CWI certification preferred (training provided if not certified)
    • The Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification, a prestigious accreditation in the welding industry, mandates candidates pass three exams—Parts A, B, and C—each assessing different welding knowledge and skills areas.
    • Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 72% on each exam part to obtain the CWI credential. Candidates will receive a consolidated score report for Parts A, B, and C of the Certified Welding Inspector examination via email approximately two weeks after completing Parts A and C.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to detect operational or material defects.
  • Skilled in communication, critical thinking, and equipment selection/maintenance.
  • Must be safety-focused with a commitment to quality and accuracy.

 

Work Environment:

This position is based in a warehouse setting where teamwork and efficiency are essential.

 

Shift:  

Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM

The pay range for this role is:

20 - 35 USD per hour (GCS - GARRETT CONTAINER)
