About the Role

As a Project Manager, you’ll oversee every stage of construction from the initial pre-site inspection through final completion, serving as the primary day-to-day contact for customers throughout their backyard project. You’ll coordinate crews, guide field execution, and ensure each phase of the build meets Anthony & Sylvan’s quality standards while delivering a positive customer experience. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong construction knowledge with leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills and takes pride in bringing complex projects to life with excellence from start to finish.


General Summary of Position

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing all aspects of construction from the pre-site inspection to receipt of the Certificate of Completion/Certificate of Occupancy.  Each A&S customer will be assigned a PM, who will be the day-to-day company contact person for their backyard project.  PM's must be knowledgeable in all phases of the installation and operation of all equipment and systems.  He/she must be able to manage and instruct crews to accomplish the desired end result in accordance with the product quality standards established by A&S.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of the construction and installation process, including documenting progress with digital photos and ensuring completion of all required inspections in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct pre-construction planning and site readiness activities by assisting with pre-site evaluations alongside Design Consultants and/or Regional Sales Managers, performing pre-site inspections prior to excavation, and ensuring all project details are identified to prevent installation issues.
  • Partner with Construction and General Management by meeting regularly to review project progress, proactively identify risks, and resolve issues to keep projects on schedule and aligned with expectations.
  • Manage jobsite execution and quality control by evaluating the performance of in-house crews and subcontractors, addressing substandard workmanship immediately, and escalating unresolved issues to leadership as needed.
  • Ensure financial and project milestone adherence by maintaining payment schedules, securing required customer payments prior to advancing project phases, and supporting overall project accountability.
  • Drive customer experience and satisfaction by serving as the primary point of contact, maintaining consistent communication with same-day responsiveness, managing expectations, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the project lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

 

Years of Experience

Three to five years of experience as project manager in construction or related fields.

Required Skills & Abilities

Microsoft Office; strong proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.

 

Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.  

 

Proficient in using an iPad.

 

Excellent interpersonal communication, organization, and problem solving skills.

 

Able to effectively deal with rigors of stress and disappointments in a calm, unemotional manner.

Travel Requirements

50-60%

 Strong work ethic with the ability to work long hours in the busy season.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; often greater than 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Ability to wear required PPE (e.g., hard hats, safety boots, gloves)
  • Ability to communicate promptly and clearly via phone and computer
  • Ability to drive or travel between job sites as needed
