About the role

The Bethel University Football Program is seeking a creative and motivated individual to fill the role of Football Videographer Intern. The primary objective of this position is to elevate the football program's brand and actively engage fans, recruits, and alumni. The intern will be responsible for capturing the energy, emotion, and execution of Royals Football on game days and translating that raw footage into high-impact, short-form digital content (such as 45–90 second weekly recap videos optimized for social media).

Required Qualifications for this Role:

• Must be a current student.
• Proficiency with DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and stabilizers (gimbals).
• Strong experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci
• Resolve).
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively under tight weekly deadlines.

Preferred "Nice-to-Have" Skills:

• An eye for sports cinematography, pacing, music synchronization, and sound design.
• Prior knowledge or understanding of football.

Physical Demands

Lifting & Carrying: Handling and operating professional video gear, including cameras and

stabilizers/gimbals.

Mobility: Standing, walking, moving, or bending on the sidelines for extended periods during game

days to capture action shots.

Screen Time: Significant time spent using a computer screen to edit video footage.

Work Environment

Location: Mix of outdoor and indoor football stadiums for all home and away games, requiring travel

via team busing. Video editing will take place in the Bethel University Library Maker Space or

alternative workspace.

Weather: Exposure to outdoor elements and changing weather conditions typical of the fall sports

season (September–December).

Noise Level: High noise levels should be expected on the sidelines during game days.

Expected Work Schedule

Hours per Week: Approximately 10 hours per week.

Schedule Details: Saturdays are dedicated to traveling and shooting games. Sunday through

Wednesday will involve editing footage and attending weekly check-in/media transfer meetings.

Firm Weekly Deadline: The final recap video must be completed and emailed no later than Thursday

morning at 10:00 AM following each game.

Pay: $1,500 stipend (approximately $15 / hour).
